Jim Wiggins has extensive experience in the cybersecurity and IT industry. Jim founded the Federal IT Security Institute (FITSI) where they collaborated with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and implement a role-based industry cybersecurity certification program known as the Federal IT Security Professional (FITSP) certification. Jim also founded the FITSI Foundation and established a program called the Wounded Warrior Cyber Combat Academy to help retrain wounded service members in cybersecurity certification programs. Jim provided cyber education and training support to the National Risk Management Center and Information Security Continuous Monitoring program for over 7 years. Additionally, they managed Booz Allen Hamilton's Cyber University program for over 10 years. Jim developed and launched a TV show called "Cybersecurity Today" and sold CISSP materials to the United States Department of State for use at their Warrenton training center. Jim has also worked as a Microsoft Certified Trainer and a Sales Representative.
Jim Wiggins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 1991 to 1994. Jim has obtained several certifications, including CISSP, CRISC, CySA+, A+, CAP, CEH, CEI, CHFI, CISA, CISM, CTT, ECSA, FITSP-M, FITSP-O, IAM, IEM, ISSEP, LPT, and MCDST, from various institutions such as (ISC)², ISACA, CompTIA, EC-Council, National Security Agency, and Microsoft.
