Karen Walker has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and aged care industry. Karen started their career in 2008 as a Continuous Improvement Consultant at Eldercare Inc, where they supported various aged care facilities in developing and maintaining quality management systems. Karen also provided education and support to promote a culture of continuous improvement and the development of quality services. In 2017, they joined Calvary Flora McDonald as a Quality Improvement Coordinator and worked until 2019. During this role, they focused on coordinating quality improvement initiatives. Since 2019, they have been working at Five Good Friends as a Community Liaison Officer and Clinical Nurse Consultant, where they ensure person-centered and high-quality care, builds relationships with allied health professionals, and provides feedback and resolution assistance.

Karen Walker completed their education at the University of the West of England. From 1992 to 1994, they pursued a field of study in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Subsequently, from 1998 to 2000, they obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Management with a specialization in registered nurse learning disabilities.
