Kate Ryan has a diverse work experience history. Kate started their career at Carix Pty Ltd as a Project Officer, where they handled daily administration, project management, and general accounts. Kate then moved on to Thriver.Global, where they worked as an Author/Speaker and Founder of THRIVER.GLOBAL, authoring the book "Beyond Stroke: Living Independently With One Arm." In 2020, they joined Mable as a Disability Support Worker, specializing in dementia care and autism in adults, providing community access, in-home support, and general assistance with daily tasks. Kate also started their own business, Professional Writing Services by Kate, in 2021. Currently, they are working as an Elder Care Support Worker at Five Good Friends.

Kate Ryan has a diverse educational background. Kate obtained an Associate's Degree in Fine Arts (Photomedia) from UNSW, which they pursued from 2009 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Diploma in Family and Community Services (Welfare) from TAFE NSW, spanning from 1998 to 1999. In their earlier years, Kate Ryan attended the Australian Catholic University, where they achieved a Bachelor of Education (Habilitation) in Health, graduating in 1997. Alongside their formal education, they also obtained a certification in Screenwriting for Film from the Australian Film Television and Radio School in September 2007.
