Moritz Schubotz is a researcher at FIZ Karlsruhe - Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure since April 2019, focusing on building a research group in mathematical information retrieval. Schubotz has extensive experience as a guest researcher and offsite collaborator at the National Institute of Standards and Technology since March 2014, and has held positions such as interim professor and researcher at Bergische Universität Wuppertal, as well as postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute of Informatics. Schubotz obtained a PhD in Informatics from Technische Universität Berlin, where also completed a Diplom in Physics. Additional research experience includes positions at Universität Konstanz and TU Berlin.
