Steven Ryder

Steven Ryder is an experienced architect and executive with a diverse background in architectural design and urban planning. Currently serving as Executive Director for Flad Architects in San Diego since October 2022, Ryder also leads Atelier Ryder, an international design studio established in April 2017, which specializes in various aspects of real estate development. Previous roles include Managing Principal at DRDS from February 2008 to April 2017, and Senior Associate at NBBJ and KMD Architects, focusing on corporate, commercial, and master planning projects across the US and Asia. Ryder began the architectural career as a Project Architect/Designer at LPA Inc., honing skills in developer-driven office and retail projects. Education was completed at the University of California, Berkeley, where Ryder earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design.
