Melissa Vath O'Connell

Melissa Vath O'Connell has extensive experience in education and counseling, currently serving as a Guidance Counselor at Flagler Palm Coast High School since January 2019. Prior to this role, Melissa held various positions at St. Johns River State College, including Adjunct Instructor and Director of Workforce Services and Program Advancement, where responsibilities included overseeing grant-funded activities and career development services. Additional experience includes roles as a Counselor and Assistant Professor at Daytona Beach Community College, a Career Services Counselor at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay, and leadership positions at Monmouth University and Rutgers University. Melissa's career began with coordination and counseling roles at The First Occupational Center of New Jersey and The Occupational Center, complemented by a solid educational foundation with an M.A. in Counseling, Education, and Psychology from New York University and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island.
