Kelly Jenkins

Kelly Jenkins has over 15 years of experience in compliance and privacy roles. Kelly is currently the Director of Compliance and Privacy Officer at Flagler Health+. In this position, they focus on hospital and physician office compliance, as well as compliance program operations. Kelly has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in personnel leadership and project management. Prior to their current role, they worked at Ascension as a Compliance Specialist, where they oversaw activities to support regulatory compliance and survey readiness. Kelly also collaborated on identifying best practices and streamlining survey preparation. Before that, they served as a Compliance Analyst at Seton Healthcare Family, conducting routine internal audits and focused provider medical record documentation and coding compliance reviews. Kelly started their career as a Hospital Coder at Austin Heart, where they worked on cardiology physician hospital coding and entry, as well as cardiology clinic billing. Kelly also ensured proper coding techniques and accuracy of levels to maximize reimbursement and meet billing guidelines.

Kelly Jenkins has a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science - BAAS degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Texas State University, which was obtained in 2019. Prior to that, Kelly completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree at Austin Community College in 2017. In addition to their degree, Kelly holds certifications in Health Care Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and is also a Certified Professional Coder. Kelly is also a licensed Real Estate Broker through the Texas Real Estate Commission.
