Alex Goldsmith

Alex Goldsmith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical strategy and operations. Currently serving as Vice President of Strategy & Operations and Senior Principal of Origination at Flagship Pioneering, Goldsmith plays a pivotal role in the creation of biotech companies, notably co-founding Flagship Labs 77, Inc. In addition to this role, Goldsmith is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Apriori Bio. Previously, Goldsmith held various strategic leadership positions at Pfizer, including Executive Director of Business Operations & Strategy in Medicinal Sciences and Senior Director of Worldwide R&D Portfolio Strategy. Earlier experience includes consulting at The Boston Consulting Group, business management at Oxford Brookes University, and business development consulting at PharmaVentures. Goldsmith holds a PhD in Neurobiology from the University of Cambridge and an undergraduate Master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry from the University of Oxford.
