Fabiana Zappala

Fabiana Zappala is a Senior Associate at Flagship Pioneering, with experience in technology transfer and research in bioengineering and related fields. Previous roles include evaluating patent content and creating marketing materials at the Penn Center for Innovation and undertaking scientific and business development projects during a fellowship at the University of Sciences QED Proof-of-Concept Incubator. Zappala holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical-Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additional experiences include teaching cellular biology, conducting research in various laboratories, and working as an engineering fellow at Merck.
