Hanif Dahya

Hanif “Wally” Dahya serves as a Director of New York Community Bancorp, Inc. and its bank subsidiary, Flagstar Bank, N.A. He joined the Company’s board in March 2007. In addition to chairing the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, Mr. Dahya is also a member of the Audit, Compensation, Executive, Board Credit, and Technology Committees. He also serves as the independent Presiding Director of the Board.

Mr. Dahya is the Chief Executive Officer of The Y Company LLC, a private investment firm that focuses on emerging-market companies in the environmental, energy, and oil and gas recycling industries.
