Ross Marrazzo

Ross Marrazzo joined New York Community Bancorp, Inc. in May 2022 as Executive Vice President and Enterprise Chief Compliance Officer. He has over 40 years of domestic and international financial services experience in banking, insurance, and securities as a compliance officer, audit executive, and consultant. His consulting experience included overseeing multiple independent consultancies and monitorships for the Federal Reserve, OCC, NYDFS, and DOJ.

Prior to NYCB, he held executive positions at Treliant, LLC, GE Capital, First Niagara Financial Group, DTCC, and Citigroup, along with its predecessors, Travelers Group and Primerica. Prior to his 22 years at Citigroup, he worked for two law firms handling SEC public and private offering compliance, and as an examiner for the NY Investor Protection and Securities Department. He has spoken at a number of industry events with peers and government agency representatives, authored several articles on compliance and auditing, and facilitated annual training for foreign banking executives in Europe, Asia, and the United States partnering with the Institute for International Bankers and Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He is a graduate of St. John’s University and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
