Derek Hammond

Derek Hammond has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Derek is currently the CFO/President of Affordable Development at Flaherty & Collins Properties since September 2021, and also holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at the same company since April 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Dauby O'Connor & Zaleski from 2012 to 2020, where they held various roles including Principal, Tax Senior Manager, and Tax Manager. Before that, Derek worked as a Tax Manager at KPMG, LLP from 2011 to 2012, and as a Tax Accountant - Real Estate Services at Katz, Sapper & Miller from 2007 to 2011. Derek started their career as an intern at DePuy Orthopaedics in 2006.

Derek Hammond obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Manchester University. Derek pursued this course from 2003 to 2007.
