Jason Baum

Jason Baum has extensive experience in the field of precision medicine and biomarker strategies. Jason is currently working as the Chief Scientific Officer at Leap Therapeutics since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the VP and Head of Translational Medicine at Leap Therapeutics from August 2020 to April 2023. Before joining Leap Therapeutics, they worked at Novartis for several years, holding positions such as Executive Director, Precision Medicine Leader and Precision Medicine Director. In these roles, they were responsible for designing and executing precision medicine strategies, developing biomarker strategies, and overseeing the development and approval of companion diagnostics. Earlier in their career, Jason worked at Merrimack as the Director, Head of Companion Diagnostics and Biomarkers, and held various positions at Cell Signaling Technology as a Product Scientist III.

Jason Baum attended Colgate University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Jason then went on to study at Boston University from 2000 to 2006, obtaining a PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry.
