Patricia Martin

Patricia (Patty) Martin joined BioCrossroads as the president and CEO in July 2019. A former Eli Lilly and Company executive, she was the chief operating officer (COO) of Lilly Diabetes for seven years as well as served as Lilly’s Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) and Chief Alliance Officer (CAO). In her 26-year career at Lilly, her leadership roles included clinical product development, finance, business development, human resources and investor relations.

Ms. Martin serves on the board of directors of CareSource, Inc., one of the nation’s largest Medicaid managed care plans, where she chairs the Compensation Committee. Within the Indiana life sciences sector, Ms. Martin serves on the boards of the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute and the Indiana Health Information Exchange. She is currently a member of the Indiana University Foundation Board of Trustees and Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council. Actively involved in Indianapolis, she chaired the 500 Festival for the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.

Ms. Martin holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University.
