Ying Zhang

Ying Zhang has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics and biomedical operations. Ying currently holds the position of Vice President, Biomedical Operations and Head of Biometrics at Leap Therapeutics since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the President and Biometrics Consultant at JLY Consulting from August 2022.

Ying Zhang has also worked at Merck as a Sr. Director, Late Development Biostatistics in Oncology from January 2020 to July 2022. Before joining Merck, they held the position of Director/Sr. Director in Biostatistics at MSD China from May 2016 to December 2019.

Ying'searlier work experience includes roles at Merck as a Biometrician to Principal Scientist, Biostatistics (January 2008 to May 2016), Pfizer as a Senior Biostatistician (June 2004 to January 2008), and GlaxoSmithKline as a Statistics Co-op in Clinical Pharmacology Statistics & Programming (January 2004 to May 2004).

Ying Zhang started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the Statistics Department of Temple University from September 2001 to December 2003.

Ying Zhang holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Temple University. Prior to that, they completed their M.E. in Management Science and Engineering at Tianjin University. Ying also has a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, General, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature, General, both from Tianjin University.
