Kurt De Grave is a senior researcher in artificial intelligence at Flanders Make, focusing on the development of AI for autonomous vehicles and factories since December 2015. Previously, Kurt served as a postdoctoral researcher at DTAI, KU Leuven, where activities centered on data mining applications. As a PhD student, Kurt completed a thesis on predictive quantitative structure-activity relationship models in machine learning. Additionally, experience includes a role as a postdoctoral cheminformatics researcher at the Rega Institute for Medical Research, specializing in QSAR modeling and automation of compound screening, and serving as a senior software engineer at PharmaDM, developing data mining software. Kurt holds a PhD in Engineering and Computer Science from KU Leuven and a Master of Science in Engineering and Computer Science from the same institution.
