Johan Booysen

Johan Booysen currently serves as Senior Operations Manager at FLANDERS since April 2023, previously holding the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Thungela from July 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included managing engineering functions for opencast and underground operations. Prior to Thungela, Johan had an extensive tenure at Anglo American, starting as Section Engineer and advancing to Senior Engineering Manager, overseeing various projects and engineering aspects for both opencast and underground operations. With substantial expertise in maintenance and repairs of heavy machinery, Johan's background also includes roles focused on electrical reticulation and production maintenance. Johan holds a Higher Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology and a Diploma in Mechanical from Nkangala Fet College.
