Kaylyn Williamson

Scientist II, Biology at Flare Therapeutics

Kaylyn’s Flare characteristics: Designing and interpreting experiments with maximal impact. Contributing to helping make new medicines for patients.

With more than 10 years in cancer biology research in both academic and biotech settings, Kaylyn has supported both early discovery and lead clinical programs, pursuing epigenetic therapeutics for various oncology indications. She strives to understand cell biology, specifically cancer biology, with the goal of contributing to finding therapies for currently intractable disease. She pursued graduate work studying chromatin regulators with vast implications for oncology.

A strong drive to return to biotech brought her to Flare, to help understand disease biology and more directly impact patient care.

In her free time, Kaylyn loves to cook, hike, play tennis, and downhill ski. She also enjoys traveling and good New England IPAs – even better if the two go together!
