Cameron Jones

Cameron Jones has a wealth of experience in the field of sustainable energy and corporate social responsibility. Cameron began their career in 2011 as an Assistant Coordinator of Advancement Services at Lester B. Pearson UWC of the Pacific. In 2012, they were a Consultant for the Habitat Acquisition Trust and a Research Assistant for the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC). Cameron then completed an MSc in Energy Policy at the Science and Technology Policy Research Unit in 2012. In 2014, they joined the Government of Alberta as a Policy and Issues Manager for the Office of the Deputy Minister. In 2017, they were promoted to Director of Project Management for the Public Agency Secretariat. In 2019, they joined BlocksEDU Learning Corp. as the Division Head of Innovation and Sustainability, and also co-founded Flash Forest, a drone-reforestation company. In 2020, they became an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Alberta and Dalhousie University, where they developed courses on renewable energy and sustainable energy projects.

Cameron Jones has an education history that spans from 2006 to the present. In 2006-2007, they partially completed a B.Sc degree in Biology, General at The University of British Columbia. From 2007-2011, they completed a Bachelors of Arts and Science in Development Economics and International Development at Quest University Canada. From 2012-2014, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Energy Policy for Sustainability at the University of Sussex. In 2018, they obtained a Certificate in Project Leadership (Project Management Institute) in Project Management from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). Cameron is currently enrolled at the University of Alberta.
