Mark Manley has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mark is currently the VP of Software Engineering at FlashCash, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to this, Mark worked as a Freelance Software Engineer from February to August 2023.
From 2017 to 2021, Mark was employed at Medallia as a Software Engineer II. During their time there, they played a crucial role in helping the company go public on the NYSE. Mark was responsible for developing a user-friendly UI/UX and building next-gen UI for Customer Experience visualization. Mark also contributed to the development of various metric/comment visualization modules and improved browser-server communication.
Before joining Medallia, Mark worked as a UI Engineer at Commonwealth Computer Research, Inc. (CCRi) from February 2016 to July 2017. Mark built UI, geo-visualizations, and other tools for a Machine Learning spatio-temporal analytics web application focused on combating human and drug trafficking for the United States Air Force.
Prior to that, Mark had experience as a JavaScript Engineer at Beck's Hybrids in 2015 and as a Senior Software Engineer at Webonise Lab in 2014. Mark worked on building a farmland visualization platform, scheduling tools, and handling drone remote sensing for Beck's Hybrids. At Webonise Lab, Mark contributed to the development of a reactive and resilient frontend geospatial model layer and converted the codebase to Angular.
Mark's earlier roles include working as a Junior Software Engineer at Full Measure Education Inc. in 2014, as a Frontend Engineer at Agilex Technologies from 2012 to 2014, and as an Intern at the National Consortium for the study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) in 2011. Mark also served as a Middle East Intern at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2010.
Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated expertise in various technologies such as React, CSS-in-JS, Typescript, Angular, Lodash, JavaScript, Stylus, OpenLayers, turf, Ruby, Rails, HAML, SCSS, ArcGIS, Python 2, Underscore.js, Bootstrap, and ReST.
Mark Manley received their Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2010, where they studied Arabic and Economics. Mark then pursued a Master's degree in Geospatial Information Sciences at the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended the University of South Carolina-Columbia from 2005 to 2007, where they studied International Business and Finance.
