Personal Chef

Position: Chef

We are looking for a Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for a family. Chef responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes for the family and guests. You should be familiar with sanitation regulations. If you have experience with Macrobiotic preparations, advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights everyone.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of healthy meals including macrobiotic, vegan and gluten free meals Conferring with clients to determine their meal preferences, specifications, food allergies, and dietary restrictions Preparing customized meal plans for clients based on their preferences, specifications, and dietary needs Shopping for meal ingredients as well as necessary kitchen tools and equipment Inspecting meal ingredients before making purchases to ensure that they are of the highest quality Preparing meals in clients' kitchens in accordance with food health and safety regulations Cleaning and sanitizing work areas before and after meal preparation Appropriately packaging and labeling prepared meals that are to be consumed at a later date Providing clients with written and verbal instructions on how to heat meals Knowledge of food and wine pairings Ability to cook for large gatherings

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred Bachelor's or Associate's degree in culinary arts is preferred Experience with special dietary needs Knowledge of vegan, gluten free, pescatarian, and macrobiotic cooking a must Experience preparing health food for children Proven culinary experience Experience as a personal chef Sound knowledge of different cuisines as well as food health and safety regulations A strong understanding of nutrition The ability to handle criticism Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective communication skills Exceptional customer service skills Detail-oriented
