John Genere

John Genere is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development and engineering roles. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer I at Flashpoint since February 2020, John has progressed through various positions, including Software Engineer II and Software Engineer I. Prior to Flashpoint, John contributed as a Junior Software Developer at Bright Power, Inc., where significant accomplishments included rebuilding a legacy reporting application and developing multiple ETL pipelines. John's earlier experience includes a Software Engineer Internship focused on maintaining CI/CD pipelines at Bright Power and a role as a Bank Teller at Citi, demonstrating a solid foundation in finance. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Hunter College, earned in 2019.
