Head, Engineering at Flashtract

Greg Dotson is the current head of engineering at Flashtract. Greg has also served as the CTO and VP of engineering at Plays.tv, and as an edtech technology and mobile consultant. Greg is the founder of SportUp.

Greg’s experience in engineering and technology has led him to their current role at Flashtract. In this role, they are responsible for leading the engineering team and developing the company’s construction payment software. The software is designed to help subcontractors get paid faster and spend less time on pay apps. In the same app, general contractors can collect, review, and approve subcontractor pay apps, lien waivers, and other required billing documents in seconds.

Prior to their role at Flashtract, Greg served as the CTO and VP of engineering at Plays.tv. At Plays.tv, Greg was responsible for overseeing the development of the company’s video sharing platform for eSports and skills improvement. Greg was also responsible for managing the company’s data infrastructure, including platform APIs and dashboard implementations.

Before their time at Plays.tv, Greg served as an edtech technology and mobile consultant. In this role, they served as a technology consultant and product advisor to educational technology (EdTech) companies, mostly startups. Greg'sareas of expertise include mobile applications for iOS and Android, chatbot design and implementation within mobile apps and web/social layer, and data infrastructure, including platform APIs and dashboard implementations. Some of the companies they worked with include InsideTrack and Strada Education Network.

Greg Dotson is a highly experienced engineer with a passion for technology and its applications in improving people’s lives. Greg is currently using their skills to help develop Flashtract’s construction payment software, which is designed to help subcontractors get paid faster and general contractors save time on pay apps and billing documents.

Greg Dotson received a B.A. from Huntingdon College in 1985-1989. Greg'sfield of study was computer science and mathematics.
