Derek Russo

Derek Russo is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in alternative credit management and investment analysis. Since January 2022, Derek has served as Director at Flat Rock Global, LLC, where the focus is on capital preservation and generating current income in less efficient credit market segments. Prior roles include Vice President at Kahala Aviation and Analyst positions at Business Development Corporation of America and UBS Investment Bank, specializing in high yield gaming, lodging, and leisure. Earlier in Derek's career, involvement as a Co-Op Student at Jet Propulsion Laboratory included engineering tasks for the Mars Science Laboratory, while research work at RPI and General Electric Aircraft Engines complemented a solid foundation in aerospace engineering, culminating in a BS degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2008.
