Sofia Soares

Sofia Soares is a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School since 2018, where they developed innovative experimental tools to study brain activity and behavior in mice. They obtained fellowships from EMBO and BBRF to support their research and have led various neuroscience projects, resulting in multiple publications. Previously, Sofia served as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University, designing syllabi and facilitating discussions on neural basis topics, and was a Research Assistant at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia, where they managed research projects and lab resources. Currently, Sofia is pursuing advanced degrees in Molecular Biology and Genetics, Human Biology, and a PhD in Neuroscience.
