Gary Swantner

Gary Swantner has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Gary began their career as a Staff Researcher at Washington University in St. Louis from June 2005 to August 2006. Gary then worked as an Engineer at Optical Engineering Services from September 2006 to December 2007. From January 2008 to April 2011, they worked as a Staff Biochemical Engineer at Merck.

In September 2011, Gary joined Korn/Ferry International as a Senior Associate in the Life Science and Healthcare Practices. Gary held this role until November 2011. Gary then worked as a Consultant Contractor at Springhill Consulting Group from May 2012 to June 2012.

In September 2012, Gary became the Director of Operations at Cot'n Wash, Inc. until May 2014. Gary later joined NOLITA WINE MERCHANTS in December 2018 as a Sales Associate, a position they held until September 2022. During their time at NOLITA WINE MERCHANTS, they joined Wine w/Context as a Wine Consultant in February 2019.

In October 2022, Gary started working as a Sales Consultant at Flatiron Wines & Spirits. Gary'smost recent position is as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Good Energy, L.P since January 2023. Gary also has prior experience as an Account Manager at Good Energy, L.P, starting from March 2015 to January 2023.

Gary Swantner obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, which they completed from 1999 to 2004. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis from 2004 to 2005. In terms of additional certifications, Gary earned the WSET Diploma in Wines & Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in August 2019. Prior to that, they became a Certified Sommelier through The Court of Master Sommeliers in September 2018 and completed the Introductory Sommelier Course in February 2017. In January 2017, they also obtained the WSET Level 3 - Advanced Award in Wines, and in May 2016, they earned the WSET Level 2 - Intermediate Award in Wine & Spirits.
