Karen Simao

Karen Simao currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Commercial Management at Fleet Data Centers, a position held since July 2025. Prior to this role, Karen was with Digital Realty from January 2019 to June 2025, where responsibilities included Vice President of Hyperscale Development & Leasing and Vice President & Head of Global Operations in the Portfolio Management Group. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief of Staff and In-House Counsel at Lupoli Companies, where key advisory support was provided to the CEO while overseeing legal affairs and corporate initiatives. Additionally, Karen was a partner at McDermott, Quilty & Miller LLP for nearly 18 years, delivering strategic legal counsel on acquisitions and real estate development, along with prior law clerk positions focused on litigation and commercial real estate. Karen holds a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from American University.
