Robert McDonald

Robert McDonald is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in governance and financial management. Currently serving as Director at FleetPartners since November 2023 and Chairman at Contact Energy Ltd since September 2018, Robert has also held director positions at Fletcher Building and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Previous leadership roles include Director at AIA NZ until September 2023 and CFO and Group Treasurer at Air New Zealand from June 1993 to December 2017. Before these positions, Robert was a Senior Manager at Coopers and Lybrand from 1986 to 1993. Educational qualifications include a PMD74 from Harvard Business School in 1999 and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland, obtained between 1979 and 1983.
