Rich Billard

Rich Billard has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Rich started their career in the Canadian Forces as a Commander and served there for 20 years. After leaving the military, they worked at MDA as a Business Development Manager, responsible for coordinating electronic warfare activities. Rich then served as the Chairperson of the Atlantic Alliance of Aerospace and Defence Associations and later became the President of ADIANS. In 2016, they became the President and CEO of ACADA, leading the newly formed association in representing the aerospace and defence industry in Atlantic Canada. Following their tenure at ACADA, they joined Irving Shipbuilding as the Senior Manager, Interim Director, and eventually Director of Systems Engineering, where they managed a team and oversaw various engineering disciplines. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Service Delivery at Fleetway Inc.

Rich Billard obtained a Bachelor of Chemical and Materiel Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada in the period between 1989 and 1993. Later, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued a Master of Business Administration from the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University. In 2008 to 2009, Rich pursued further education with a focus on Defence Studies, completing a Master of Defence Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada.
