Richard Schroeder has a diverse work experience in the audio and event production industry. Richard started their career as a Stagehand at James Thomas Productions Events & Entertainment, where they were involved in setting up and tearing down staging, audio, lighting, and other festival components. Richard then worked as an Audio Technician & Engineer/Dimmer Beach Tech at White Light Inc., where they were responsible for operating and dismantling small sound systems. At TC Furlong Inc., they served as an Audio Engineer, handling the preparation and depreparation of audio equipment and assisting with the setup and breakdown of large-scale systems.

Schroeder also worked at Event Creative, where they were a Technician involved in various production aspects such as audio, lighting, video, backline, staging, rigging, power management, cable management, and structure building. Richard gained further experience as an Audio Engineer at ECTO Productions Inc., where they assisted with equipment setup, operation, tear down, and transportation.

Richard then joined Video Tech Services Inc. as an Independent Contractor, performing stagehand work in a corporate environment, including loading and unloading trucks and setting up and striking staging, truss, lighting, audio, and video equipment. As a Freelance Developer, Schroeder took on freelance projects before joining Flex Rental Solutions as a Junior DevOps Engineer.

Additionally, Schroeder worked at Technotrix Inc. in various roles. As an Audio Department Assistant, they managed department personnel, performed system technician duties, served as an FOH and monitor engineer, handled patching and RF coordination, and designed and optimized systems for future events. Richard also worked as an Audio Engineer at the same company, handling system prep and deprep, equipment transportation, and providing support for FOH, monitors, and patching.

In 2020, Richard completed a Nanodegree in Intro to Programming from Udacity.

From 2009 to 2013, Richard attended Columbia College Chicago and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Audio Arts and Acoustics- Live & Installed Sound.

In addition to their formal education, Richard has obtained various certifications. In October 2021, they received an Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. In March 2018, Richard became a Qualified Forklift Operator through Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. In April 2016, they obtained the Certified Operator of Stageline SL320 certification from Stageline. Lastly, in May 2015, Richard became a Qualified Person of Manual Lifts, Scissor Lifts, and Boom Lifts through Safety Training Plus LLC.
