Luca Izzo

Luca Izzo, PhD, is currently a Mechanical Development Senior Engineer at Flex in Milan, where they design biomedical devices and develop computational simulations. They co-founded MOAB Srl, a bioengineering start-up specializing in advanced research tools, and played a key role in developing a patented organ-on-a-chip device during their PhD at Politecnico di Milano. Luca earned a PhD Magna Cum Laude in Bioengineering, alongside a Master's degree in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Their expertise spans mechanical design, microfluidics, and cell culture devices, complemented by strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
