Ben Fanning has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities in the field of IT. Ben began their career as a Laptop Repair Technician and IT Shopfloor Support technician at Flex in 2010. During this time, they gained expertise in prioritizing and troubleshooting technical issues.

In 2011, Ben joined Builders FirstSource/Probuild as a Service Desk Technician. Ben provided support to internal employees and also managed daily operations as a Service Desk Supervisor. Ben emphasized the importance of earning respect from their team and implementing efficient processes to drive advancements.

In 2013, Ben moved to Hitachi Vantara as an IT Support Manager. Ben successfully insourced the global IT Service Desk and collaborated with different IT teams. Ben also played a key role in establishing an IT Shared Services group and expanding the Service Desk as a Service product offering.

In 2018, Ben joined Flexential as the Director of IT Support. Ben integrated two service desk teams and established an Infrastructure and Security team. Ben focused on delivering user-centered support and gained experience in leading level 2 technical teams.

At Flexential, Ben's role evolved and they became the Director of Business Technologies in 2019. Ben managed a group of 21 members and oversaw various functions of the IT organization. Ben combined principles from the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and ITIL to deliver stable and scalable services to internal users.

In 2022, Ben served as the Interim VP of Enterprise Architecture at Flexential. Ben was responsible for the entire IT organization, including setting the vision, defining objectives, and establishing the roadmap.

Throughout their career, Ben consistently demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on user satisfaction. Ben developed strong skills in managing teams, optimizing processes, and implementing effective IT strategies.

Ben Fanning completed their Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from The University of Memphis in 2009. In February 2018, they obtained the ITIL Foundations in IT Service Management certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
