Michael Sykes

Michael Sykes has a diverse range of work experience in critical infrastructure and data center management. Michael worked at Flexential as an Area Manager, overseeing data center responsibilities in various markets, mentoring engineers, and driving operational goals. Prior to that, they were a Critical Infrastructure Manager at Flexential, responsible for the operations and maintenance of data center facilities.

Before joining Flexential, Michael was an Assistant Construction Project Manager at Telx, where they oversaw construction activities for data center expansions. Michael also worked as an Equipment Engineer at Verizon Wireless, where they provided technical leadership and project management for infrastructure projects in mission critical data centers.

Additionally, Michael worked as a UPS Customer Engineer at Emerson Network Power, providing support for uninterruptable power supply systems. Michael started their career at Telcordia Technologies as a Project Manager, where they managed production operations and conducted system improvements. Michael also had a role as a Project Manager and Data Center Design at Telcordia, where they analyzed client needs and managed installations and construction in data centers.

Michael Sykes attended Norfolk State University from 1985 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
