Joseph Outen

Joseph Outen has a diverse work experience. Joseph started their career in the US Navy, where they served as a Supervisor and Senior Operation Specialist from August 2012 to August 2016. After that, they worked as an Assistant Manager at QuikTrip for a brief period in August 2017. In September 2016, they joined Walmart Distribution Center as an Order Filler before transitioning to Novatech, Inc. as a Helpdesk Tech in July 2018. From October 2019 to March 2021, they worked as a Control Center Operator I at Cypress Creek Renewables, where they remotely identified and resolved issues in solar facilities. Joseph then progressed to the role of Control Center Operator II, where they oversaw the daily operations of over 3.6 GW of photovoltaic power plants. From July 2021 to April 2023, they served as a Senior Control Room Operator at Cypress Creek Renewables, closely monitoring the real-time operation of numerous solar projects. Joseph's most recent role is as a System Operations Engineer at FlexGen, which they started in April 2023.

Joseph Outen attended South Piedmont Community College from 2017 to 2020, where they pursued a degree in information technology cybersecurity. Prior to that, in 2015, they briefly attended Thomas Edison State University, studying air traffic control in the field of aviation. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Konica Minolta Outward Professional certification in July 2018, the Konica Minolta Outward Associate certification in June 2018, and the Tactical Data Link Coordinator certification in August 2013.
