Shuyun Chung

Shuyun Chung is the Chief Robotics Scientist at Flexiv. Shuyun has held this position for 4 years and 11 months. Prior to that, they were a Roboticist / Senior Software Engineer at Auris Health, Inc for 1 year and 3 months. Before that, they were the Co-Founder & CTO of O-Robotix for 7 months.

Shuyun did their postdoctoral research at Stanford University for 3 years and 8 months, where their main research was focused on multi-contact locomotion of humanoid robots and developing a friction-consistent whole body control framework for humanoid robots simultaneous collision avoidance and contacts searching. Shuyun also did postdoctoral research at National Taiwan University for 5 months, where their main research was focused on VSLAM and RGBD-SLAM (with Microsoft kinect sensor).

Shuyun was also a visiting student at Carnegie Mellon University for 9 months, where they did research in the Robotics Institute, Computer Science Department on reinforcement learning and learning from demonstration.

Shuyun Chung has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Chiao Tung University.
