Donogh Fitzgerald

Donogh FitzGerald has extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Donogh currently holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at FlexMedical Solutions since May 2020. Prior to this, they served as the R&D Director at LumiraDx from June 2017 to May 2020. Donogh also worked as the Senior Manager of Chemistry Development at Beckman Coulter from January 2015 to June 2017. Donogh held the role of R&D Director at Alere Technologies Limited from December 2013 to December 2014, and before that, they were the R&D Technical Lead at Alere Technologies Limited from December 2009 to December 2013. Donogh also worked as the R&D Manager Immunoassay at Beckman Coulter for a brief period in 2009. Donogh's earlier experience includes working as the R&D Manager and R&D Team Leader at Olympus from 2003 to 2009. Donogh started their career as a Clinical Research Technician at MDS Harris Labs in 1994 before moving on to R&D Team Leader Immunoassay at Randox from 1996 to 2003.

Donogh FitzGerald earned a BSc in Molecular Biology from Queen's University Belfast between 1992 and 1996. In 1998 and 1999, they obtained a PG Cert in Computer Studies from Ulster University. Lastly, in 2006 and 2007, they completed a PG Dip in Management from the University of Limerick.
