Adam Suarez, PhD, has extensive experience in data science and engineering. Adam has held various positions at companies like FlightAware, Mastercard, and Monsanto Company, focusing on predictive technologies, data analytics, and statistical modeling. Currently, they serve as the Director of Engineering - Aviation Insight at FlightAware, leading teams in flight tracking, predictive technologies, and data engineering. Additionally, they are a Lecturer of Data Science at North Carolina State University, where they teach courses on reproducibility, containers, and the cloud. Dr. Suarez's background includes roles as a Lead Data Scientist at Mastercard and a Data Analytics/Statistical Scientist at Monsanto Company. Earlier in their career, they gained research and teaching experience at NC State University and Washington University in St. Louis.
Adam Suarez graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2007 with an A.B. in Mathematics and Psychology. Adam then pursued a Master's Degree in Mathematics at North Carolina State University, completing it in 2014. In 2007, they also earned an M.Stat. in Statistics from the same school. Continuing their education, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics and Mathematics (Co-majors) from North Carolina State University in 2016. In 2017, they obtained a Full Stack Development Certification from freeCodeCamp.
