Navroop Sehmi has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2013, they founded Rumor, a product and venture agency that helps companies accelerate their ROI through product development, design, and technology. Rumor partners with clients across various sectors such as Mobility, Saas, Ecommerce, and Healthcare.

In 2008, Sehmi became the Chief Executive Officer of Appcore Labs, a North American enterprise that specializes in building offshore teams to develop products and scale businesses. They handle the entire process, from hiring to training and project management.

From 2015 to 2020, Sehmi served as the Chief Technology Officer at Kater Technologies Inc, a Vancouver-based Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) company. In this role, they directed multiple departments, managed a large engineering team, and oversaw a multi-million-dollar budget for technology and product development. They played a key role in defining product roadmaps and successfully launching various platforms.

Prior to that, Sehmi worked as an SAP B1 Systems Analyst at The Revere Group from 2007 to 2008. They conducted process analysis for medium-sized businesses and led database implementations of SAP Business One. They also designed Chart of Accounts in compliance with GAAP, developed procurement processes, and created SQL reports.

Currently, Sehmi is serving as the Product Design Lead at the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, starting in 2020.

Navroop Sehmi obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Cal State Fullerton, College of Business and Economics. Later, Navroop pursued a Master of Business Administration degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a focus on Business Administration. Additionally, Navroop received training in Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration from UC Irvine. Moreover, they have obtained several certifications including Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in February 2017, Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute in June 2015, and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 from Microsoft in June 2007.
