Farshad Meshkati has worked in various roles in the engineering and business fields since 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Mechanical Engineer Summer Intern at Esfahan's Mobarakeh Steel Company. From 2011 to 2016, they were a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Nevada Reno, where they conducted research in fluid mechanics and micro-robotics. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Utah, where they researched the properties of ferromagnetic materials and their utilization in micro-robotics. Since 2017, they have been the Director of Strategic Projects and Lead Analyst - Business & Engineering at Flirtey, where they are focused on data-driven strategic decisions pertaining to business and engineering.
Farshad Meshkati obtained their Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno between 2011 and 2014. Farshad then completed a Graduate Minor in Business Administration at the same institution between 2012 and 2013. Farshad also passed the Professional Engineer exam with Advancing Licensure for Engineers and Surveyors in December 2013, and obtained their Engineer Intern (Engineer in Training) certification from the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in December 2012. In 2014, Farshad Meshkati obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. Additionally, they hold Open Water Diver and Wilderness First Responder certifications from PADI and Wilderness Medical Associates International, respectively.
