Tom Shinton has a strong background in software development and engineering, particularly in the field of interactive experiences and virtual reality. Tom began their career at Labyrinth Interactive, where they served as Technical Director from August 2013 to June 2014. Tom then moved on to Somo Global, where they worked as an Unreal Developer and Specialist Engineer for Hive, a child company of British Gas, from October to December 2015. Following this, they joined JB Communications LTD as a Senior Developer from January 2016 to November 2017, where they were responsible for various aspects of development within the Unreal Engine. Currently, they are employed at Flix Interactive, initially starting as a Developer from November 2017 to March 2020, then progressing to Senior Developer from March 2020 to March 2023. Tom is currently serving as the Lead Engineer at Flix Interactive, a position they have held since March 2023.
Tom Shinton attended Staffordshire University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Games Design with Enterprise.
