Jeremy Schmitt

Jeremy Schmitt is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and big data, currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist at Flock Freight since February 2022. In this role, Jeremy leads the Marketplace Optimization Group, overseeing the development of a machine learning-driven pricing engine and a recommender system, as well as a proof of concept for automating email workflows using large language models. Prior experience includes a senior data scientist position at FICO, where Jeremy focused on payment fraud solutions, and consulting for Actionable Numerics. Jeremy holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California San Diego, where teaching responsibilities included instruction in various mathematical subjects.
