Jiahao Sun

Jiahao Sun has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Currently, Sun holds the position of Director of Artificial Intelligence at RBC Wealth Management, where they are responsible for overseeing innovative AI products globally. Jiahao has been with the company since 2016, initially serving as the Lead AI & ML Engineer in the Innovation Lab. During this time, they played a crucial role in the development of "NORA," RBC's advanced AI system for sales and investments. Sun then moved on to become an Associate Director of Artificial Intelligence, where they continued to code and contributed to RBC's Annual Report in 2018.

In 2022, Sun also took on the role of CEO at FLock.io, where they lead the team in building a native Web3 Data Privacy solution for AI known as Federated Learning Blocks.

Sun's commitment to AI research is demonstrated through their role as an Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London. Jiahao focuses on knowledge graph generation and reasoning via zero-shot learning for financial prediction as an Industry Research Fellow. Their expertise extends to areas such as knowledge graph, graph theory, distributed systems, natural language processing, and other machine learning algorithms.

Prior to these positions, Sun has also held key roles as the Chief Technology Officer at Boolv Tech, where they are responsible for the company's technological direction, and as the Co-Founder & CEO of UiiTech, where they aimed to solve real-life problems using machine intelligence. Additionally, Sun served as the Chief Data Scientist at TypeScore, where they built deep learning algorithms for credit risk solutions, and as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Entrepreneur First.

Jiahao Sun pursued their Bachelor's degree from 2012 to 2014 in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Liverpool. Jiahao then went on to complete their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science at the University of Oxford from 2014 to 2015.
