Kunal S.

Kunal S. is a Senior Staff Computer Vision Engineer at Flock Safety since April 2025, specializing in developing advanced License Plate Recognition models. Prior to this role, Kunal served as the Director of Computer Vision at Bonsai Robotics from 2022 to 2024, leading a team to create self-driving solutions for agricultural machinery and developing deep learning and 3D vision algorithms. Kunal's experience at Apple from 2018 to 2022 included roles as Tech Lead for hand tracking on Apple Vision Pro and Senior Computer Vision Researcher focusing on pose estimation and 3D reconstruction. Earlier positions include Computer Vision Scientist at GumGum (2016-2018), and various academic internships at Bossa Nova, GreyOrange, Technical University of Munich, and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, where Kunal worked on mobile robotics and algorithm production.
