Michael Hollingsworth II, partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Atlanta office, is co-head of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group and the Investment Management Group. Mr. Hollingsworth focuses on middle-market corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. He also serves on the firm’s Executive Committee, the governing body of seven partners who oversee the firm's standing committees, strategic initiatives and operations.
Mr. Hollingsworth represents private equity and hedge funds relative to their formation, operations and investments. His industry experience includes food and beverage, consumer-branded products, healthcare, construction and aggregates, technology and telecommunications, media, manufacturing and distribution, and business services. He is a transactional lawyer in the firm’s multidisciplinary National Healthcare Practice Group.
Mr. Hollingsworth serves on the Board of Trustees for the Woodruff Arts Center and St. Andrew's-Sewanee School; the Board of Directors for The Empty Stocking Fund; the Advisory Board for Next Generation Manufacturing and Cumberland School of Law at Samford University; and as a Board Member for the Tulane Fund.
Mr. Hollingsworth earned his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law, a JD, magna cum laude, from Samford University Cumberland School of Law and a BA from Tulane University in Political Science.
