Sandip Agrawal

Sandip Agrawal is the current Head of Engineering at Flockjay. Prior to joining Flockjay, Sandip served as an engineering lead at Informed from January 2017 to December 2020. In this role, they worked directly with the CEO and played a critical role in engineering and product decisions. Sandip helped implement engineering best practices, like code reviews, automated tests and arch reviews. Sandip also led the engineering hiring process from sourcing candidates to offer.

At Informed, Sandip designed, built and maintained core product features including a machine-learning based document classifier and extraction framework to automatically classify financial documents and extract relevant information; a credit decisioning engine to prequalify a credit applicant across multiple lenders and thousands of autos in real time; and sets of APIs for third parties to use our credit decisioning engine and stipulation analysis product.

Sandip’s technologies include Ruby on Rails, Python, JavaScript (React). Sandip is the inventor of U.S. Patent 20190340428: “System and method for stipulation collection using SMS and mobile device cameras with real-time analysis of documents”. Prior to Informed, they worked as a software engineer at Google from January 2014 to December 2016.

Sandip Agrawal received their Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Duke University. Sandip then went on to earn their Master’s Degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Finally, they completed their education with a degree in Business from the University of Geneva.
