Remote Sensing Analyst at Floodbase

Alexa Lopez has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Alexa started their career as a GIS Spatial Analyst Intern at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in 2018. In 2019, they worked as a Research Analyst at the Institute of Government Innovation and simultaneously served as a Graduate Assistant at Texas State University.

In 2021, Alexa joined NASA as an Assistant Fellow, where they facilitated the DEVELOP term and provided assistance, troubleshooting, and feedback on coding software for team members. Alexa also worked as a DEVELOPer, partnering with the City of Austin to develop maps identifying vulnerable communities susceptible to heat exposure using census and NASA's earth observation data.

Currently, Alexa is employed as a Remote Sensing Analyst at Floodbase.

Alexa Lopez attended Texas State University from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography Resources and Environmental Studies.
