Clay Banner worked at Flooring Solutions, Inc. from 2013 until now as a Vice President and Senior Project Manager. Prior to that, they worked at The University of Texas Golf Club from 2004 to 2013, where they held the positions of Senior Assistant Golf Professional, Member Service Director, and Clubhouse Manager.

Clay Banner attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2001 to 2005. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and also a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree, with a focus on Economics.
