Welcome to Florence 1 Schools where our motto is Students First. Located in the heart of South Carolina's Pee Dee Region, Florence 1 serves several communities including Claussen, Effingham, Evergreen, Oakdale, Quinby, and Mars Bluff. Florence 1 has over 16,000 students at more than 20 education sites. In our schools you will find programs such as International Baccalaureate, Montessori, Gifted and Talented, Year-Round Calendar, STEM Magnet and Language Immersion. Florence 1 is the 15th largest school district in South Carolina and the second-largest employer in Florence County in its category.
