Alberto Fernandez has extensive experience in the field of technology services in the higher education sector. Alberto began their career at Barry University as the Assistant Dean of IT, Director of Instructional Computing, and Activity Director of CELT. In this role, they coordinated and implemented various projects and administered a Title III Grant for faculty development. Alberto then joined Lynn University as the Director of Web Strategy, where they developed and maintained the university's web presence. After that, they joined Florida Atlantic University as the Director of FAU Broward Technology Services, where they were responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing technology resources and services for multiple campuses. Alberto also served as the Interim Director of FAU Northern Technology Services, overseeing technology services for the Jupiter Campus. In their most recent role as the Director of Partner Campuses Technology Services at Florida Atlantic University, they managed technology resources and services for partner campuses.
Alberto Fernandez has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Barry University. Alberto also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Finance from the same institution. Additionally, Alberto earned an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Computing and Technology from Barry University, as well as another Ed.S. degree in Computing Technology in Education from Nova Southeastern University. Finally, Alberto completed a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computing Technology in Education from Nova Southeastern University.
