Raul Perdomo

Technical Director Of Agricultural Reseach at Florida Crystals Corporation

Raul Perdomo has extensive work experience in various agricultural research and management roles. Raul began their career as a Professor at Southeastern Louisiana College in 1966. In 1969, they joined Central Romana, Ltd. as a Sugarcane Variety Agronomist and was soon promoted to Director of Agricultural Research. From 1979 to 1983, Raul Perdomo served as the Manager of Sugarcane Agricultural Operations at Central Romana Ltd., where they also oversaw a side project on agricultural diversification. Raul then joined Florida Crystals Corporation in 1984 as the Technical Director of Agricultural Research, a position they still hold.

Raul Perdomo began their education journey by earning a High School Diploma from De La Salle High School in 1957. Raul then furthered their studies at Louisiana State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Agronomy Crops from 1957 to 1961. Building upon this foundation, Raul pursued a Masters of Science degree in Sugarcane Breeding and Diseases/Agronomy at Louisiana State University between 1961 and 1963. Raul'sacademic pursuits continued as they pursued a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology/Sugarcane Breeding from Louisiana State University from 1964 to 1967, thereby solidifying their expertise in this field.
